Although fire alarms may be in place at a premise, many buildings still burn down simply because early fire detection systems are not in place or are severely inadequate for the particular circumstances. The fire detection systems must be able to operate in fire sensitive areas, take dust particles and heat changes into consideration, and be connected to the overall fire protection system. Too sensitive fire detection systems will cause false alarms which may be ignored if happening too often.
